Dr Jonathan Spyer: Israel's Strategic Dilemmas in a Changing Middle East

The CMSS and the Institute of Advanced Studies hosted Dr Jonathan Spyer to present a lecture on Israel's Strategic Dilemmas in a Changing Middle East as part of a visit to Australia for a speaking tour sponsored by the Australia/ Jewish Affairs Council.

Dr Spyer argued that the current rapid changes in strategic relations in the Middle East offers both opportunity and cause for concern to Israel. He also explored components of the new strategic situation and it's meaning for hopes of peace in the Middle East.

Dr Spyer is a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Global Research in International Affairs, Inter-Disciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel.
