This is an inaugural Urdu literary event organized by the Centre for Muslim States and Societies. It commemorates the contribution and services made by Begum Sarfraz Iqbal (1939-2003) to Urdu literature. Mr Ahmed Faraz is the leading Urdu poet from Pakistan. He has published 13 books and his work has been translated into English. This year;s event is co-sponsored by the Urdu Society, Inc (Sydney).
