Post Graduate Student Symposium Militancy in South Asia: Comparative Perspectives 5 August 2009The Centre for Muslim States and Societies (CMSS) organised a one-day Symposium for Honors and Postgraduate students on exploring militancy in South Asia in comparative perspective. The One-Day symposium followed the international conference on Countering Militancy in Pakistan: Domestic, Regional and Global Dimensions on 3-4 August 2009. The one-day symposium was designed to benefit postgraduate students from the expertise of internationally renowned specialists on militancy in South Asia. The students presented their research, or research proposals relevant to the theme of the Symposium and received feedback from the international experts. The CMSS has been assisted by the ARC Asia-Pacific Futures Network (Islam Node) to cover the cost of travel and conference registration for a selected number of students participating in the conference and the symposium.
