Dr Jakub ZajczkowskiDr Jakub Zajczkowski, graduated from the University of Warsaw (Institute of International Relations) in 2002, obtained his PhD in Political Science in 2007, since 2008 he is Adjunct Professor in the Institute of International Relations. Erasmus Program coordinator in the Institute. Fellowships in 2009 at Jawaharlal Nehru University (School of International Studies) and Indiana University, Bloomington. In 2007 and 2008 he was awarded by the fellowship for Young Researchers of the Foundation for Polish Science. In 2008 he was awarded by the Rector of the University of Warsaw for his book India in International Relations. In 2003 he was the winner of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Prize for the best MA thesis in contemporary International Relations. Since 2009 member of the Research Board of European University Center at Beijing University, and since 2008 member of: the Europe-China Academic Network; Asia-Europe Human Security Network; India-EU Study Centres Programme. Visiting professor at universities in: Paris (Science Po), Salzburg (Institute of Political Science), Lyon (Institute of Political Science), Madrid (Autonoma), Swansea, Ljubljana University (Faculty of Social Sciences), Heidelberg University (Political Science Department of the South Asia Institute), Prague (Charles University). In 2007 and 2009 he participated in international conferences: in Florence on Europe – myth and reality held by University of Florence (presented the paper India’s myths and reality in European Union perception); international conference held by University of Florence What ‘European-ness means today? (presented paper Europe as a global actor – Asian perspective); and in Prague (held by the University of Economics, topic of presentation: India: Emerging Power). Research interests focus on: developing countries in international relations, South Asia security and economics, contemporary international relations in Asia-Pacific region, Pakistan and India domestic and foreign policy, South-East Asia security and political thought, democracy in Asia-Pacific region, Regionalism and Globalism in International Relations, theoretical aspects of international security, the European Union in world. He is the author of two books (India in International Relations; The European Union in International Relations) and co-editor of two (Regionalism and Globalism in International Relations; South Asia and East Asia: Tradition and Modernity). He is also author of over 40 articles in research journals.
